Brew your own living compost tea at home and watch your plants explode! BGH recommends using both the Foliar Pack and the Root Pack in your compost tea brew. The finished tea should then be used both as a foliar and a root drench (see PDF attachment for complete instructions).
Compost tea containing the right ingredients (Foliar Pack, Root Pack, molasses and high quality worm castings at a minimum) can contain over 30,000+ strains of bacteria, fungi/mycorrhiza, protozoa, and nematodes.
This incredible bio-diversity promotes:

The Foliar Pack contains bio-pesticides and will organically control most pathogenic pests and insects.
The Foliar Pack was designed as a 100% safe, non chemical spray or drench.
The Foliar Pack includes but is not limited to:
-Bacillus sp.
-Beauveria sp.
-Metarhizium sp.
-Verticillium sp.
-Rhodospirillum sp.
These are all naturally occurring microbes that may help plants deal with environmental stress.
The Root Pack is a proprietary blend of highly concentrated beneficial fungi and bacteria. The root pack is designed to promote plant health by boosting the immune system, increasing shoot and root growth, multiplying flower production, and contributing to the overall well being of your plants! The Root Pack hasover 20 species including (but certainly not limited to) the following:
-Pseudomonas flourescens: This is a saprophyte that creates colonies in water, soil, and on plant tissue. It is known to suppress plant diseases by acting as a systemic (a unique ability). Once it enters the vascular system of the plant, it can produce antibiotics which may prevent fungal and bacterial diseases from taking hold.
-Bacillus: Bacillus is best applied to young plants and seedlings, so that it can take hold and colonize on the developing root system. Here, it will offer protection by limiting the growth of fungal organisms like fusarium. This bacteria is known to supress other fungi and bacteria that cause scab, powdery mildew, sour rot, downy mildew, and early leaf spot, early blight, late blight, bacterial spot, and walnut blight diseases.
-Trichoderma: Trichoderma is a beneficial fungus, that is known to seek and destroy other harmful fungi in the soil/media. The presence of trichoderma can cause the plant to activate its own SAR (stimulated auto response), which serves to boost its own immune system.
-Streptomyces: Streptomyces is a beneficial bacteria that i sknown to produce antibiotics as well as enzymes, and deter harmful fungi.
The highly concentrated Nute Pack is an ideal way to boost your plants ability to do what it does best: grow and flower. With the proper application, you will see a noticeable difference in growth, yield and overall vigor.
The Nute Pack is composed of:
-Nitrogen fixers, which convert nitrogen gas in to usable nitrate. Nitrogen fixers also will increase plant growth as they produce vitamins, auxins, and gibberllins. Nitrogen fixers give a boost to seedling germination and overall yield.
-Phosphate solubilizers, which will dissolve fixed tricalcium phosphate in to the usable form monocalcium phosphate. These little guys also produce organic acids (citric acid, lactic acid), hormones, and enzymes which will help in nutrient uptake and general plant vigor.
-Potash mobilizers, that will seek out Potash near the root zone and bring it to the roots of the plant. It is great for low K soil, or coco, since coco is known to “hold” K.
-Mycorrhizae. This product has 125 spore colonies per gram of each of the following endo mycorrhizae:
NOTE: Each Pack can be used by itself or in combination with other specific ingredients in a compost tea brewer. In order to achieve maximum results and diversity it is best to use the Packs with a compost tea brewer. If you decide to use the Packs by themselves and without brewing them, here are the application instructions:
Foliar Pack: Add one teaspon (5 grams) of the Foliar Pack to 1 liter of non-chlorinated water. Mix well to dissolve. Let sit for 3-5 minutes to allow talc carrier to settle. Pour liquid off top, watering plants to the point of saturation, and/or spray entire plant. Apply every 7-10 days to maintain microbe populations. Best applied at 60%+ RH. For aggresive application use every 4 days.
Root Pack: Add one teaspon (5 grams) of the Foliar Pack to 1 liter of non-chlorinated water. Mix well to dissolve. Let sit for 3-5 minutes to allow talc carrier to settle. Pour liquid off top, watering plants to the point of saturation, and/or spray entire plant. Apply every 7-10 days of entire cycle for best results. As a seed treatment dust with Root Pack prior to planting.
Nute Pack: Best applied early in plant life cycle, and during transplants to larger containers. Add 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 grams) of Nute Pack to 1 liter of non-chlorinated water. Mix well to dissolve. Let sit for 3-5 minutes to allow talc carrier to settle. Pour liquid off top, watering plants to the point of saturation, OR:
Mix directly with soil or coco at rate of 1/4 tsp per gallon of container size. As a seed treatment dust with Nute Pack prior to planting.
If you use the the Pack to make a compost tea, use the instructions in the PDF attachment and follow the application instructions below:
Application: Dilute as little as 1 cup of brew to every 5 gallons of stock solution for recirculating or drain to waste, or use as an individual drench via hand watering. This works GREAT in a cloning machine or when presoaking your cutting’s media. Make sure to add any nutrients or additives and pH BEFORE adding the brew. The day after a reservoir change (once every 7-10 days) is a good time to apply.
It is also advised to foliar feed with this tea once a week at full concentrate. Just strain it first so that it doesn't clog the sprayer.
If you are battling an existing pest or pathogen problem, use at full strength, without diluting. Pour tea directly in to crown and foliar as well.
