The ”Black Pearl Trumpet” is a cross between the Pearl Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) and the King Trumpet mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii) from Japan. It grows and looks much like Pleurotus eryngii (King Oyster) in the beginning as it matures it will look more like a Pleurotus ostreatus (Pearl Oyster). It produces dense, meaty, flavorful mushrooms that contain high levels of antioxidants. Perfect for grilling or roasting.
