Mushroom Magic Master's Mix Substrate Bag - 6 lb

Mushroom Magic Master's Mix substrate is perfect for growing mushrooms such as Oyster, Lion's Mane and Enoki. We hydrate the blend to proper field capacity and pasteurize for 90 minutes @ 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Consisting primarily of hardwood sawdust and soybean hulls, it's ready to use out of the bag, just add your colonized grain spawn of choice.

We keep a control bag from every batch to ensure proper pasteurization was attained and the substrate falls within quality control standards. 

5 pounds of substrate will fill one 32 quart monotub paired with 1.5 to 3 pounds or 2-3 quarts of grain spawn. For a 66 quart tub shoot for 10 pounds of substrate. However, our favorite way to grow is to divide one 3 pound grain bag between three 3 pound substrate bags (1 pound of colonized grain to 3 pounds of substrate).

NOTE: When shipping any mushroom bags (regardless of the brand) it's always a good idea to let your sterilized bags sit for 1-2 weeks before use. This will expose any issues that may have occurred during shipping and prevent wasted spore or culture syringes. If you do find that your product is compromised, please contact us.
